Escaped murder suspect Casey White has been captured and his prison guard lover is in the hospital after an 11-day manhunt that spanned multiple states, deputies say. The pair were found at a hotel and were caught after a brief car chase in Evansville, Indiana. Their Ford F-150 overturned and Casey White surrendered. Jailer Vicky White shot herself at some point before she was captured. The extent of her injuries remains unclear. She faces up to 10 years in jail for helping Casey, a confessed killer who was already serving 75 years in prison, run away. The two will be brought back to Lauderdale County, Alabama to face various charges in connection with the escape. Casey will also face outstanding capital murder charges related to a 2015 killing. Lauderdale County Sheriff Rick Singleton thanked investigators from the various national agencies that helped them capture the pair, along with the media for shedding light on the story. 'Most escapes - from a county jail especially - they're not planned. They're just sort of spontaneous. There are no resources available, no plan in place,' he said during a press conference Monday evening. 'This escape was obviously well planned and calculated. They had plenty of resources, had cash,' he said, referring to the cash that Vicky had on her from the recent sale of her home. 'They had plenty of things to pull this off.' Singleton added: 'We got a dangerous man off the streets today. He's never gonna see the light of day again. That's a good thing.' Regarding his employee Vicky White, he said, 'I hope she survives this. She has some answers to give us.' The two had been the target of a nationwide manhunt since April 29 when Vicky White, the assistant director of corrections for the jail in Lauderdale County, helped engineer the escape of Casey White, who was awaiting trial in a capital murder case.

Nick Cave's son Jethro Lazenby has died aged 30, the musician said today - seven years after the star's 15-year-old son Arthur fell to his death from a cliff in Brighton. Jethro, who lived in Melbourne, had been released from prison on bail two days before he died, having been jailed for kneeing his mother in the face during a row over cigarettes - leaving her 'bruised and bleeding'. 'With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away,' Cave said in a statement this afternoon. 'We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.' The Australian singer, best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, was first struck by tragedy in July 2015 when Arthur fell 60ft to his death from a cliff in Ovingdean, near Brighton. The 15-year-old, described by his family as a 'beautiful, happy, loving boy', had been taking the hallucinogenic drug LSD, an inquest later heard. Jethro was born to his Melbourne-based model mother Beau Lazenby in 1991, who was in a relationship with Cave at the time. He himself largely worked as a model, while also taking on a number of acting roles. He was released on bail from Melbourne Remand Centre on Thursday after a magistrate ordered he undergo substance abuse treatment and avoid contact with her for two years.

Nick Cave's eldest son Jethro Lazenby has died aged 30, and is musician's second son to have died, following his 'strained' relationship with his father. He was born just 10 days before Cave's second son.

While liberal states like New York are promising to receive abortion-seeking patients from other states with open arms if Roe v. Wade is overturned, Texas lawmakers are pushing for a bill to ban residents looking to end their pregnancy in another state from doing so. Though it's unsurprising the 6-3 conservative majority on the high court would look to overturn Roe, a leaked Supreme Court draft opinion last week revealed a majority of justices are in favor of overturning the 1973 landmark abortion case sent shockwaves across the nation and spurred local lawmakers into action. Here's a look at what states have been doing in anticipation of abortion rights being tossed back to the states

Melendez appeared to have left his phone on the ground and his headphones splayed across the platform, and as Angel Trujillo walked by they exchanged words before Melendez then slashed him with a boxcutter. The two began to fight, and Trujillo threw a jacket at Melendez, as a means of self defense. A grocery cart of Melendez's possessions was knocked over. Posse of women storm Philly McDonald's kitchen and attack staff after punching female worker who told gang not to call her a 'ho'

War correspondent and Putin propagandist Aleksandr Sladkov (shown left speaking on Monday) made a rare admission of Russia's military struggles in Ukraine, speaking in a video posted to social media late on Monday. He said that Vladimir Putin's so-called special military operation was 'shamefully indecisive', that Russian troops 'can't push out Ukrainian forces', and that Moscow's armies are 'making a feat out of something that should be routine'. Sladkov, a journalist for Russia's state-run Russia-1 TV channel, has in the past been deployed with Putin's forces to make pro-Kremlin military propaganda. The video showing Sladkov speaking negatively about Russia's approach to its invasion - to a camera in a dark room - marks a change in tone from the reporter. The footage also appears to confirm the assessment of a US official on Monday, who said the Russian effort in the Donbas hasn't achieved any significant progress in recent days and continues to face stiff resistance from Ukrainian forces. 'I like it so much, mum': Russian brags about using '21 roses' FSB torture method of slicing open Ukrainians' fingers, toes and penis to his mother... who says she would have 'liked it too'

The call, intercepted and published by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence, was shared by a soldier of Russia's 11th Army Corps - identified as Konstantin Solovyov (left) - and his mother Tatiana Solovyova. The soldier described, in graphic detail, a variety of heinous torture methods used by members of Russia's security service (FSB) on Ukrainian civilians. Some of the tactics included the '21 roses' - stripping the skin back from a man's fingers, toes and penis like the petals of a flower - and the 'barrel' method, when a line of barbed wire is inserted into a prisoner's anus via a tube before being slowly and painstakingly ripped back out. Solovyov, whose unit is deployed near the eastern front in Kharkiv according to Ukraine's MoD, also explained how he and his colleagues in the FSB beat an old man to death for taking photos of Russian troop positions, with his mother's full support (gravesites and the evacuation of Irpin pictured right)

The Mavericks announced afterwards that the fan had been ejected: 'It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today's game.'

REVEALED: Actor who starred with Harry in eco-travel skit was suspended for saying 'Jews were expendable' and 'Hitler had a right' to 'roast' them in comedy routine

Dave Fane, the creator of animated TV series Bro'Town, appears in Harry's five-minute video as a 'rating agent' who ambushes the British royal as he jogs through California, which doubles as the backdrop for New Zealand woodland. Fane arrives claiming he is meant to be assessing the duke, saying: 'I'm supposed to be rating Harry. You've got Harry Styley and I've got the stylish Harry.' It has now emerged that the 56-year-old comic came under fire for making a string of allegedly racist and homophobic comments at the inaugural Radio Roast in 2010. Fane told an audience at the comedy event that 'Hitler had a right', that 'Jews were expendable', and that HIV sufferers deserved to be 'roasted', Stuff reported. The jokes were so incendiary that at the time, Fane was suspended from his position as host of breakfast radio show Flava for a week, with Radio Network chief executive John McElhinney saying that the remarks were inappropriate even in the context of a 'roast'. Apologising on TV3 to the New Zealand Aids Foundation and New Zealand Jewish Council, Fane said: 'They were dumb words, said by a dumb man.'
